Antillano - feat. Daniel Díaz

from Música De Las Américas by Miguel Zenón

/

about

Gateway to the Caribbean and to the American continent, the Antilles start up in Cuba, pass through Puerto Rico, and later trickle down into a geographical half moon formation that includes Guadalupe, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago, among many other beautiful islands. Historically placed as the first point of encounter between Europe and this part of the world, the Antilles share many common and perhaps unspoken links—a deep connection enhanced by music, climate and people. This track is a celebration of the Antillano as a unique individual, featuring young virtuoso Daniel Díaz on congas.
