about

Maelo recorded this in 1961 with Cortijo y Su Combo. Their version alluded to another version of the same piece, recorded a few years earlier by Maelo's hero, the great Tito Rodríguez. We stretch the harmony a bit on our take, but focused on keeping this beautiful melody front and center.
